Ah, the great Birdie debate once again!
Try this:
Your Birdie commands are ok ie Run>NIL: birdie ? <ENV:Birdie.prefs
But.......don't put it in your User-Startup, put it in your Startup-Sequence
right after IPrefs!
Birdie should be in C: bprefs should be in Prefs:
Now, create a drawer in your Workbench:Prefs called 'Patterns', dump all
your Birdie patterns in there!
Reboot and run Birdie prefs.
Click on 'add', a blue line should appear! Above the 'View' button is a
'folder' icon. Click on this and then click 'volumes'. Select 'Workbench'
(or SYS or whatever) then 'Prefs' then 'Patterns' and select a pattern!
Basically make sure Birdie knows the FULL path for each pattern!
Once you've selected a few patterns, click 'save' and reboot!
Hey presto! Either it's worked and is now hogging most of your chip ram or
you've got a graphics card or I've drunk more Stella than I thought I had
and your Amiga doesn't work anymore! <gggg>
No, seriously, it works for me!
